Boring

He was looking at my life from the outside seeing only popularity, stages, crowds, & poetic performances.

He thinks he may be too boring for me.

My life has been a constant uphill hike through unpredictable seasons and rocky terrain.

I’ve fought mountainous lies on my name and fended off barely concealed hatred, endured hypothermia from cold shoulders, and icy stares.

I have been burned raw from false friendships, designated private prey, marked with a public bullseye & hunted down like a wild animal.

I’ve lost my footing falling from heights I’ve climbed without benefit of traction, engaged in hand to hand combat for my sanity while spending days scourging for love and fighting for a place to call my own.

Consistent shelter for me is a luxury, safety a farce & security a myth.

My soul has blisters from being laced too tightly and rubbing against the needs of others.

He thinks he may be too boring for me.

He was looking at my life from the outside and as I tentatively allow him in, I tell him, I find his boring — beautiful.

About The "SoKey" Experience

Each morning I wake I pour myself into a goblet, slowly inhaling the scent of my own faults, swirling them around the glass, allowing them to breath, then I sip, allowing my own inconsistencies to soak my tongue before swallowing. If I am tipsy from my own frailties - I'm less likely to become drunk on yours. -SoKey (introspection)

  3. An exciting read expressed with verve and animation. A brilliant and passionately expressed theme.
