Resolute

Resolve to stop being a woman with a mouth like a truck driver one minute yet behaving like a child the next. That’s water and oil, they don’t mix.

Resolve to stop being a woman over 25 behaving badly. Society needs you to get your sh*t together and restore balance.

Resolve to stop being a man over 25 chasing a past you phucked up.

Resolve to accept personal responsibilities and stop blaming your partner or family for your every bad decision; resolve to stop getting angry because you put yourself “out there” when all signs pointed to “don’t you put yourself out there”.

Resolve to stop talking to and treating children like they are adults. Resolve to stop taking your frustrations out on their tiny little lives; they deserve better.

Resolve to graciously accept rejection; everything ain’t for everybody.

Resolve to not only look in the mirror but accept the limitations shown within.

Resolve to humbly accept what you have as what you have; be thankful then stop trying to live above your means.

Resolve to accept love when you feel it; stop trying to rationalize because your love may not fit into the fake parameters you’ve built around your life.

Resolve to argue, fuss and fight with decorum and dignity. Resolve to walk away, to let go, to move on and to do it all with maturity and love.

Resolve to accept love, embrace happiness and treat people right.

Resolve to try harder, know more and do better.

Resolve to admit these things may be hard as hell then resolve to do it anyway.

About The "SoKey" Experience

Each morning I wake I pour myself into a goblet, slowly inhaling the scent of my own faults, swirling them around the glass, allowing them to breath, then I sip, allowing my own inconsistencies to soak my tongue before swallowing. If I am tipsy from my own frailties - I'm less likely to become drunk on yours. -SoKey (introspection)
